How to run a speed test

Use the speed test provided to check your Internet speeds and check out some tips to help improve your experience.

Before you run a speed test:

• Close all applications. If it uses the Internet, you’ll want to shut it down before you continue to run the test.
• Connect to your Fiber ONT directly. That will always give you a better connection.

It is important that your hardware (computer, router, modem) is in good condition.

Speed tests won’t tell you your absolute internet speed, but they will give you a close approximation. It’s a good idea to try multiple tests because the results can vary.
